Overview
The Train Ticketing App is a self-initiated concept project focused on modernizing the experience of purchasing and managing train tickets. The goal was to design an intuitive, visually clean, and reliable mobile interface that makes trip planning and ticket booking effortless for users. This project explores how thoughtful design can simplify travel-related tasks while enhancing user confidence and convenience.
Challenge
Existing train ticket booking platforms often feel cluttered, outdated, and data-heavy, which can overwhelm users during critical decision points like selecting routes or schedules. The challenge was to create a fresh, modern, and user-centered interface that simplifies information display without compromising functionality. Additionally, it was essential to ensure the experience feels fast and reliable — critical factors in travel-related apps.
Approach
The design exploration began with mapping out a complete user journey — from searching routes, selecting seats, to making payments and accessing e-tickets. The UI was structured around clarity and hierarchy, prioritizing essential actions while reducing visual noise. A clean layout, modern typography, and friendly color palette were chosen to create a sense of trust and simplicity. The final prototypes, designed in Figma, emphasize intuitive navigation, consistent spacing, and smooth micro-interactions to enhance usability and delight.
