Overview
The KFC Outlet App is an internal mobile application used by KFC store teams to monitor operational data and daily performance metrics. The goal of this project was to revamp the outdated interface, making it more visually organized and easier to interpret large amounts of data. The redesign focused on improving both UI clarity and UX efficiency, ensuring that users could quickly access key information needed for store management.
Challenge
The previous version of the app presented dense, unstructured data that was difficult to scan and analyze efficiently. Users often struggled to locate important metrics or navigate between sections. The main challenge was to simplify data-heavy layouts while maintaining completeness and accuracy. The interface also needed to support fast daily use under time pressure, especially during store operations.
Approach
The redesign process began with a complete UX audit to identify pain points within the existing flow. Data visualization principles were applied to reorganize complex information into more digestible visual formats, such as cards, charts, and grouped sections. The new design adopted a clean, modular layout with a focus on readability and contrast, ensuring that key figures stand out at a glance. Interactive prototypes were created in Figma, allowing for validation of layout efficiency and information hierarchy through quick internal reviews.
